WooCommerce Solution “Perfect Checkout” Gains Traction In FinTech World

The rise in online shopping during the last year has made store owners flock to sites like Shopify to set-up their digital stores. But Shopify along with other titans of e-commerce have held the high ground for too long. At least, that’s what James Rowland thinks, founder of a new selling tool he calls “Perfect Checkout”. This platform aims to not only create a better shopping experience for its users, but also bring more people into the world of FinTech and ecommerce.

Studies show that sites like Shopify and WooCommerce greatly increased their users during the pandemic. It seems that while many stores were closed, people spent their time anxiously clicking through endless products on websites. This may have ushered in a new era in the way people shop.

To understand the purpose of Perfect Checkout, you need to understand James Rowland. He’s been working on helping people get into online businesses for years, and Perfect is his latest offering. Specifically, small and medium-sized businesses face many challenges when they are starting out. Upfront costs and loads of time don’t leave much energy for else, much less establishing a pleasurable shopping experience.

“I can relate to anyone who’s involved in launching an online store,” Rowland said. “Ecommerce is still in its infancy, and launching even a simple online store can be both exhausting and quickly expensive if you don’t know what you’re doing. Even for me, it’s a big job to get a proper ecommerce website off the ground. I don’t know anyone in my field who doesn’t wish it was easier.”

Making Great Shopping Available To Everyone

Of course there are options out there for business owners looking to set up an online shop. Anyone can open their Shopify or WooCommerce account, add their inventory, set up payment systems, and so on, right? Not exactly. These larger companies don’t give a lot of control to their users, and you have to follow certain guidelines to use them. This means that alternative markets that are not widely publicly accepted will generally not be permitted to sell.

One example is the Hemp/CBD market which has been steadily growing over the last few years, and is expected to explode. Platforms like Shopify shun these types of businesses because they violate their guidelines, so what other options do they have? Perfect Checkout aims to make online selling accessible to everyone, including these markets still in their infancy.

The great thing about Perfect Checkout is its adaptability. You can use it with WooCommerce and other platforms. Credit card processing sites have also shown interest in Perfect after a stellar reaction from their beta announcement. When Rowland uploaded the post to the WooCommerce facebook, he was surprised to see more than 600 people sign up which included store owners and agencies within the first 2 days.

“I just shot a quick video showing what we built and talking to the camera,” James Rowland commented. “I blurted out that I think our checkout solution is actually better than Shopify’s now, and I think that excited a lot of WooCommerce supporters who have been wanting a solution like this.”

Taking Back Control Of Your Checkout Experience

One important aspect of an ecommerce checkout page is the credit card processing platform used. This is the interface a customer has to input his or her payment information, and ultimately its where they decide if they purchase. Many abandon their carts in this stage and so it is vital to streamline the process and make it as easy as can be for the customer.

Shopify, Square, BigCommerce, and others all push you to use their payment processors of choice, such as ShopPay for Shopify. However, if you wish to use a different processor, Shopify will charge you 3% of your sales on every transaction. This is hardly what sellers want when setting up their shops. Perfect Checkout simply charges a tiny percentage of total sales, as well as a low monthly fee. But this is nothing compared to setting up a custom checkout with Shopify, for example.

If you do want to customize your cart, you’ll first need a Shopify Plus plan starting at $24,000 per year. And if that isn’t enough, you’ll need to hire programmers to set it all up. With Perfect Checkout you don’t need programmers or long-term commitments. You can regain control of your checkout experience without the hassle or reprogramming everything. They are actually the only SaaS checkout platform that invites anyone to sign up. This is the meaning behind their #enterpriseforall hashtag.
