Chevra Hatzolah has launched a campaign to encourage the community at large to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Hatzolah has placed ads in Jewish print publications as well as online and social media, promoting the vaccine.
The Medical Director of Chevra Hatzolah, Dr Shimshy Zimmerman, has now released a short, informative video encouraging everyone to get vaccinated.

Following NYS lowering age to 50 as of 8AM yesterday morning, I already went all the way to a very late nite appointment in the Bronx last nite to receive my vaccine, conforming to Pesaq of Rav Chaim Kanievsky & Pesak of Rav Gershon Eidelstein & Pesaq of Rav Yitzchok Yosef.
This is Pikuach Nefesh of the highest order, and is more urgent than Pessach preparations.

This promotional video is unlawful as it violates the FDA’s own rules; any material promoting the vaccine must state that the vaccine has not received FDA approval and is authorized for emergency use only. To say that the vaccine is safe and effective when we don’t yet have all the facts is pure propaganda.
