President Trump slammed the recently passed $900 billion COVID-19 relief package as a “disgrace” on Tuesday evening, urging Congress amend the bill to increase the direct payments given to Americans.
“I am asking Congress to amend this bill and increase the ridiculously low $600 to $2,000, or $4,000 for a couple,” Trump said in a video posted to Twitter.
In addition, Trump is demanding that lawmakers “get rid of the wasteful and unnecessary items” from the legislation, “or else the next administration will have to deliver a COVID relief package”
“Maybe that administration will be me,” Trump added. “And we will get it done.”

President Donald Trump was 100% on this one, like just on about everything else he has done.
This stupid bill as is, had more money for stupid Art Centers, than regular Americans & languishing restaurants.

FYI, he has not yet sent the bill back. Fact is there are enough votes to over ride a presidential veto.

Thank you president Trump. These liberal loonies will give a lousy 600 dollars while they funnel billions into their pockets.
The first peep out of the president’s foul mouth about this bill. The House passed a bill in May that Moscow Mitch refused to bring to the floor of the Senate. When this bill was finally taken up in a bipartisan way, he had zero to say about covid relief. Now he’s trying to hold relief for the American people hostage for his own vengeful purposes.
The new president and administration has already said that there will be more to come.
On another note, the covid relief package was an addition to the omnibus bill that was already being negotiated and administration officials had agreed to!
Most all of the complaints trump mentioned were not even in the covid bill but rather the omnibus bill. Doubtful he knows the difference anyway.
We can’t be rid of this corrupt dumbbell fast enough.
