  1. A huge loss for Klal Yisroel! B”H, he has seen nachas from all his children who have become chusheveh people throught the country.

May we only share in simchos fron now on!

  2. BD”E. He was my teacher in HAFTR many years ago. What a sweet, kind man! His family should have a nechama knowing he touched so many lives across the spectrum.

  3. Rav Altusky was my Rebbe in HILI for many years .He taught many subjects. He will be a huge loss for me and many others that he has taught over the many years.May his family know of no more sorrow

  4. Rabbi Altusky taught me bewteen the years 1960 and 1966, and we had some contact after that.

He was a role model for all of his students.

As I approach 60, he is still in my thoughts whenever I open a sefer. His generation will be difficult to follow.

  5. this is quite a shock.rabbi altusky with his everpresent pipe was a calming presence at chsan sofer .he was “old school” and dignified and was an altogether classy individual.i wish the same could be said for some of the other faculty members and rebbeim who taught there in the 70’s.
    binyomin zev.
