The Aron Kodesh should have been locked.
Clue? He doesn’t know how to carry a Torah. This crook is supporting the weight in the crook of his arm instead of resting the Torah on his shoulder.
Which Shul in today’s day and age leaves the doors unlocked and doesn’t lock the Aron Hakodesh? Very poor management
Some things don’t add up:
1) He seemed to know that the shul was open.
2) He knew exactly where to find the Torah (in the Aron).
3) He easily opened the unlocked Aron without any hesitation.
4) This happened over ten days ago and it’s now first being publicized.
Probably an “inside job” — perhaps a mispalel or someone known to the maintenance crew.
I never get Peticha.
tragic. not trying to mach letzunus here but anyone else wondering about the entire outfit switch in the video? somehow he went in wearing all black, and he didnt just steal a Torah, a hat, and a guitar – but a shirt and pants too! so strange
He must live in the neighborhood if he is walking home.
Who will he sell it to?
