A 43-year-old woman was fatally struck by a stray bullet fired into her Queens apartment early Wednesday, police said.
Bertha Arriaga was inside her apartment in Jackson Heights when she was shot in the head shortly before 1 a.m., a police spokesperson said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe Arriaga was hit by a stray bullet fired from outside her apartment building. No arrests have been made.
