*The MTA will rescind free E-ZPass tags for former board members and restrict their use by current members. The state attorney generals office and the MTA said Thursday that only current board members will now get the perk — and then only when performing official MTA business.
*A man in his 20’s was shot by police in Brooklyn Thursday afternoon after he opened fire from a minivan and shot a woman in the leg. The incident happened in front of 175 Patchen Avenue near Macon Street in Bedstuy. The suspect was listed in stable condition.

*Dive small New Jersey airports will receive nearly $2 million in federal money for infrastructure improvements. The airports are in Lakewood, Linden, Morristown, Ocean City and Toms River.
*NYC Comptroller Bill Thompson says the corporation that provides office and residential space for U.N. personnel and foreign missions owes the city over $12 million in back rent.
*Rockland County residents can now pay their delinquent county, town and school property taxes online on the county website. This new service to taxpayers, developed by Software Consulting Associates, can be accessed via the Rockland County website www.rocklandgov.com and selecting the house on the right side of the page that reads “Pay taxes on-line” or the Finance Department’s website www.co.rockland.ny.us/Finance. The payment website is available seven days a week from 2 a.m. to 11 p.m., so that the system can update the files so that all records remain current.
*A New Jersey lawmaker wants to let residents shop outside New Jersey for health insurance. Assemblyman Jay Webber said his proposal would let New Jerseyans secure health care coverage that best suits their needs and budgets.

*DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. — FBI agents were at the home of a prominent state senator from Prince George’s County on Thursday. Richard Wolf, a spokesman with the FBI’s Baltimore field office, said agents went to the home of Sen. Ulysses Currie, but wouldn’t say why agents were at the residence or whether a search warrant had been served. Currie, who told reporters he has not been charged with a crime, met with an attorney, Dale Kelberman, in Baltimore on Thursday after being accosted by FBI agents at his home early Thursday morning.
*FREDERICK, Md. ― The family of a Frederick man who died after being subdued with a Taser announced Thursday it is suing Frederick County and the county sheriff’s office. The suit also names Sheriff Chuck Jenkins and Cpl. Rudy Torres as defendants in the $145 million lawsuit.
*BALTIMORE ― Police arrest a man accused of scamming local businesses and the elderly. Police arrested Bruce Schriver in Baltimore City after they say they caught him driving a stolen vehicle. After investigating, police say they determined he also scammed local
businesses out of $1,600 by posing as a representative from the Baltimore Blast soccer team.
*BALTIMORE, Md – DEVELOPING: Southeast Baltimore District police say they are involved in a bizarre investigation. Police say they were investigating a series of robberies just before two AM when they began to follow two suspects in a car. Officers were following the vehicle when it overturned near Orleans and Saint Paul Streets. Police may have shot at one of the suspects, but the other ran off. Police tell YWN that two other people were stabbed in the area where they started to follow the suspects.
