How to Have a Picture- Perfect Organic Garden With No Work

This post will describe two HIGHLY effective methods not just to grow MORE food in LESS SPACE but also to prevent weeds without even lifting a finger! If you prefer a garden just like a picture under or are tired of the weeds in your garden once and for all, this post is for you.

Tackling weeds is a little bit of work initially, but these measures will make your life so much easier, and your gardening experience much more satisfying.

What Are Weeds?

A weed is any undesirable plant growing in your backyard. Weeds are merely plants that were planted by nature, But weeds play an essential role in nature. To start with, the soil is small. She likes to be coated. Or so says homesteader Justin Rhodes. Indeed, weeds play many jobs. They prevent erosion, prevent topsoil from blowing off, pull nutrients from deep in the soil depositing them in addition to the ground when they die, and maintain the soil microorganisms cold and moist.

Their roots make water and air passages for worms and other organisms that live in the soil, break up compaction, add organic matter, etc. But, once you’re trying to grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers, they could steal precious resources from the plants rather than allow them the space they should spread out and develop correctly.

So in case you would like to cultivate your plants and do not want weeds performing their job in your backyard, you need to know to do their job for them.

There are a few things to learn about weeds:

Classes of Weeds Taproot — a few weeds have a long center origin, somewhat like a carrot. It’s smaller roots growing off from it. If you break off the source near or at ground level, it will often just grow right back. You will need to attempt and get the entire root out. A dandelion is a fantastic example of the sort of weed.

Runners — Many weeds have runners and grow in all directions at the same time. They’ll put out the runners (rhizomes) above ground and underground. If you pull one of those runners, all of the other seeds will still live on happily. If you cut it into pieces (say using a tiller), all the details will begin a new plant. Regrettably, poison ivy is a runner kind of weed. So is bermudagrass.

So what’s the perfect sort of mulch to use in the backyard?

” The response: chipped wood. Chipped wood isn’t put through a shredder, but are rather put through a chipper. There’s a large difference in the quality as you can see.

Where do you get chipped wood?

” Chipped wood is available at no cost from many tree companies. Believe it or not, when they pull trees out, they pay someone to catch it! So if they’re in your community area, they would be delighted to drop off as much as you want! Just ask someone around because some use chippers, and others use shredders.

JUST REMEMBER — Chippers create chips, shredders make shreds.

High-Intensity Spacing For Organic Garden

High-intensity gardening seems more like a blend of the most recent workout regimen and applying it to gardening, but it’s very much completely different. The action of high-intensity gardening is to take normal”traditional” spacing and toss it out the window with complete disregard. High-intensity gardening is what I have discovered to be hands down the very best way to prevent weeds in their path.

The key is why weeds are now so vital. Weeds are plants, and they need four things to grow really well, and so do your veggies; the only thing different is your weeds do a lot better job at getting these four necessities than your veggies do. They’re food (nutrients), Water, Sun, and Root area. Remember the story about Achilles heel? Your weeds are Achilles. However, rather than just using a heel as their weak point, any of the four necessities is their week stage! Take out one weak point, and the entire plant is doomed.

How can High-intensity gardening stop weeds?

High-intensity gardening essentially does exactly what weeds do best. Grow many plants in an immediate area, in nutrient-rich soil, and weed only long enough to allow your plants to have a head start on growing (or begin with plant begins ). Once the crops are a specific size, and when they had appropriately implanted, they’ll do these things:

  • They will shade out the with overlapping leaves. They will get a giant ROOT MASS compared to the weeds. They will have more access to NUTRIENTS. They will have the ability to take up WATER deeper than the weeds.

This is exactly what a backyard seems like overtaken by weeds:

So you can see it isn’t just smoke and mirrors. I’ve observed the effects of this potent combination and genuinely want to share the success I’ve been having with the world. Because let’s face it. Having a weedy garden isn’t fun…

Now my mother can walk in the backyard and enjoy more time with me instead of spending some time with me, and the rest of my family hunched over weeding. It makes gardening more enjoyable, more pleasurable, and if you’re a newcomer, it GREATLY reduces the probability of discouragement. Not many young gardeners return to the backyard after a weed infestation, and several do not know where to go, and they feel helpless. Perhaps you will feel weak. Trust me, I did it, and so can you.

Here’s a video of me describing this concept in my WEED FREE GARDEN!

There are just a few things to make sure of:

Make sure that the soil is full of organic matter and is loose. You want your plants to leap off to the races, and with a small bit of first weeding, your plants can find the head start they need. But in hard, compact soil, the plants are not going anywhere.

Make sure that it is fertile. Fertility is imperative to growing high intensity. Plants will only succeed if they have the water and nutrients. So call me crazy (I sort of am) when I say that. “SPACING MEANS NOTHING” (to a certain degree.). We load in Trifecta+ compost at the start of the season. This gives us food all season long and gives us the first boost the plants need. Rather than bending of one foot, we distance about 6-8 inches.

Meaning you get an excess plant every 3 feet!!

Weed early, marijuana often. Weeding will have to be done. For your garden to be hands-free for 90 percent of this year, you will need to be sure that the 10 percent (which is essential) stays weed-free. This is the time where the crops are neck a neck with the weeds, and in the event that you even give the weeds an ounce of an edge, they’ll whip your crops every… single…time. So marijuana early, and allow your plants to get that nice long lead. Once the crops are almost starting to overlap, your good and the garden can go on autopilot.

Waterless frequently. This may seem crazy, but it is not. After the plants become established (assuming the soil is correct ), your roots will be profound. By allowing the top bit of soil dry out, any weed seeds or plants that are dormant won’t be able to find the water they need to grow and flourish. Your crops grow and love the dry topsoil because deep down 4-6 inches, they’re performing A-OK for moisture.

Summary

Every garden will have a few weeds here and there.

But after a couple of years, your weed pressures will diminish, and you’ll get to enjoy growing plenty of tasty edibles and lovely plants.

But now you know the reply to the question of why you have weeds and everything you will need to do to repair it!

The best approach to organic weed control is proper planning and following through on that strategy. Your backyard will produce more food, with less time and effort, and you’ll be enjoying a bounty of beautiful vegetables, herbs, and flowers, with barely a weed in sight.
