4:45PM EST: At approximately 4:15PM, six thugs walked into a hardware store on Fort Hamilton Parkway and 46th Street, demanded money, and assaulted the store owner. They then fled the store – but by this time, Boro Park Shomrim were already in hot pursuit.
After a short foot-pursuit, three of the perpetrators were apprehended by Shomrim on 9th Avenue and 47th Street. Boro Park Hatzolah was dispatched to treat one of the Shomrim members, and to treat the store owner, who both received blows by the perps.
As of 4:40PM, another one of the suspects was found hiding in the area, and now the NYPD and Shomrim are canvassing the area looking for an additional two perps which fled the scene.
Boruch Hashem, the store owner, and Shomrim member were not seriously injured.

some times I think to myself that thease shomrim really deserve credit , we all know that many times there isn’t such a happy ending & it looks like they spent time & effort 4 nothing , & not all good endidng storeis (like this one) do we get to hear, & still they don’t get tired of comming to every place called to , big or small !!!!!

I work in the area and saw the scene, the shomrim caught the thugs, and a few minutes later the NYPD (or as you said ypd) showed up, so don’t you tell me who deserves the real credit…

shame on you #7 – I hope you never need the shomrim to help you out. Today, my alarm went off, it took the NYPD 15 minutes to get there. If it would have been for real, the guys would have been long gone, with the loot.
