1. Please Tell me how. As a Teacher I could not imgaine opening school for just 2-3 weeks safely. Him saying this now at the end of the school year is just for votes,he does not really care about the schools. ForSeptember the schools got open but not now.

   We here in Lakewood have school for 2 more months. So for us it’s very simple. Split the classes in half and the kids have school every other day. And the kids that are home will listen to the whole class on the phone that day. Instead of a one he conference. That’s what you do. Very very simple. The only reason why this is not happening is firstly the stupid teachers union that Murphy doesn’t want to stand up to and secondly our dear heroic askonim don’t care.

13. The only schools under Federal control are those on military basis. States (or Indian Tribes) control the rest.
    He’s probably right, especially given the damage to giving children a year long vacation, and that Covid 19 is only a serious health threat to adults. In our community one would hope that Torah teachers would not be scared, though many public school teachers, especially those who joined union, are only interested in their own well being rather than the children’s.

14. Stop the nonsense about endangering kids. I’m sure your kids are biking, rollerblading and socializing with every kid on the block. If so they can socialize in SCHOOL where they belong!! And if they’re stuck at home all this time They need serious Therapy which would probably be given in school anyway.

15. Life is always “All or Nothing”.
    Even if not all schools will open the whole time to full capacity maybe some schools can even open part of the time for some of the children and that would also be an accomplishment.
    Why all the negativity?!
