Dear Hudson County residents and business owners,
With gratitude to Hashem, we are excited to announce the expansion of our life-saving organization. A momentous occasion that is transpiring as we celebrate our 18th anniversary. Union City Hatzolah was thrust into existence eighteen years ago on that infamous day, September 11th, 2001, and has since outgrown its original borders.
Initially formed as an organization to provide immediate and effective response to medical emergencies for the neighborhood of Union City, it has quickly become the number to call for the entire county. Residents, businesses, and commuters all over Hudson County know that during an emergency, they can rely on Union City Hatzolah. Recently, the growth of Jewish communities in the surrounding areas has contributed to the need for expansion. We have become accustomed to respond to calls in every town, city, and freeway in Hudson County. During the recent tragic events, Union City Hatzolah was the first to offer assistance, as is the case with every emergency in Hudson County.
After intense planning and coordination by our community leaders, Rabbis, and county leadership, we are proud to formally announce an official expansion of coverage, which will include the entire Hudson County. In that respect, we are also renaming our organization as Hatzolah of Hudson County. This expansion comes with ten newly qualified members as well as the addition of our fourth state-of-the-art ambulance to our fleet.
We are also pleased to let you know that after months of planning with Chevra Hatzalah (NY), they have agreed to assist with dispatching duties. This new collaboration is a result of the increasing demand in Jewish communities of Hudson County. At this time, while the details are still being finalized, please continue to use the current phone number in case of an emergency. We will keep you updated with further developments in the next few weeks.
We would also like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Chevra Hatzalah for all their time and assistance to our organization. Their constant support is what has enabled us to continue growing our operations, and we greatly indebted to them.
Should you have, any questions or inquiries, feel free to reach out to [email protected]. The emergency number for Hatzolah of Hudson County is 201-422-9000
