President Donald Trump on Thursday denied a report that he wanted Attorney General William Barr to hold a press conference to declare he broke no laws during a July phone call in which Trump pressed his Ukrainian counterpart to investigate Democrats.
Trump tweeted just after midnight that the story, first reported by The Washington Post, “is totally untrue and just another FAKE NEWS story with anonymous sources that don’t exist.”
And he continued to lash out at the press, declaring “The LameStream Media” to be the “Enemy of the People.”
The Post reported that Barr rebuffed the request, which came in September around the time the White House released a rough transcript of Trump’s July 25 call at the center of the House impeachment probe. The paper, citing unidentified people familiar with the effort, said the request was relayed from the president to White House officials, and then to the Justice Department.
Bill Barr did not decline my request to talk about Ukraine. The story was a Fake Washington Post con job with an “anonymous” source that doesn’t exist. Just read the Transcript. The Justice Department already ruled that the call was good. We don’t have freedom of the press!

House Democrats are investigating Trump’s pressure on Ukraine to investigate political rivals as aid money was being withheld from the Eastern European country.
Trump insists he did nothing wrong.
“Just read the Transcript,” he wrote Thursday. “The Justice Department already ruled that the call was good.”

That appears to be a reference to a statement from the Justice Department in September announcing that the department’s Criminal Division “reviewed the official record of the call and determined, based on the facts and applicable law, that there was no campaign finance violation and that no further action was warranted.”
The degenerate Washington Post MADE UP the story about me asking Bill Barr to hold a news conference. Never happened, and there were no sources!

Barr famously held a news conference ahead of the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report into Russian election meddling. Barr painted what many saw as an overly flattering picture as it related to Trump and repeatedly declared investigators had found “no collision” between the Trump campaign and Russia, a point Trump had seized on to try to claim vindication.
While the appearance drew praise from Trump, it also raised alarms from critics already wary of his independence after Barr released a letter summarizing the reports’ conclusions, which Mueller later complained “did not fully capture the context, nature and substance” of the full report and led to “public confusion about critical aspects of the results of” the investigation.

Barr is deeply involved in the defense of this degenerate lying adulterer, this report sounds credible and trump has zero credibility.
Why does Trump keep saying read the transcript when the document he released literally says on the very first page:
CAUTION: A Memorandum of a Telephone Conversation.· (TELCON) is not a verbatim transcript of a
discussion.
The document also makes it quite clear Trump was requesting the Ukrainian President reopen the Biden investigation. Which, regardless of if his request was Quid Pro Quo or not, was illegal.
It seems his political base are beginning to show signs of a cult mentality, never seeing fault in their leader regardless of what lies he tells, laws he breaks or damage he does.
How is this fake news automatically because Trump said so? Trump is a known liar, perhaps WaPo is also, but one of them is correct. Why are people so enamored by Trump’s tweets to automatically label any negative press about him as fake?
How much would anyone like to wager that the allegation turns out to be true?
There is nothing corrupt in the President asking for an investigation on what does appear to be a cover-up of a democratic candidate for the USA presidency’s son activities in the Ukraine. That cover-up may have unexpected consequences in the future in case the Democratic candidate or even another Democratic candidate were to win the presidency. And it must not go unchallenged, that is why President Trump wants it in the open now and rightly so.
The financial gift to the Ukraine is a normal condition of friendship and co-operation between nations which is done all the time, every day.
