It appears but it’s not confirmed that he fell asleep overnight.

UPDATE 9:30AM (Monday): Sources tell YWN that the child has just been found. Further details to follow.

Thousands of volunteers have continued to search through the night for an autistic child, who went missing in Kiryas Yoel on Sunday evening – as was reported by YWN.

Dozens of emergency personnel from the state police, forest rangers, police officers, firefighters and other trained responders – including K9, Aviation and ATV’s – are searching for a 10-year-old Shimon Zorgor, who went missing near Lizensk Boulevard, a densely populated cul de sac off Schunnemunk Road, Kiryas Joel Public Safety Director Moses Witriol tells YWN.

The boy is autistic and has wandered off before, including recently in Williamsburg.

Flyers with Shimon’s picture have been posted throughout Kiryas Yoel.

Volunteers were responding from Hatzolah, Shomrim, and Chaverim from Monsey, New Square, Flatbush, Boro Park, Williamsburg, and Lakewood.

Residents were asked to look under and inside their vehicles before moving them on Monday morning, and children were asked to wear white shirts to make it easier to spot the missing child.

At this point, responders don’t believe the boy to be hurt, but there is fear he may be disoriented.

Shimon’s family is from Brooklyn, and they were visiting his grandparents at the time.

Anyone who may has seen the boy is asked to call the State Police at the Monroe Barracks at 845-782-8311 or the Kiryas Joel Public Safety Office at 845-782-5577, or Hatzolah.

HIS NAME FOR TEHILLIM IS SHIMON BEN RAIZEL DEVORAH.

  1. what you dont have is someone who knows how autistic children behave and think!!! you should get a parent who has autistic children to help you and give you tips on what to do( yes i am offering)

Moderators Response: Feel free to contact the authorities to offer your services.

By the way, the parents of the child are there. They probably know how their child act better than anyone else.
