YWN regrets to inform you of the Petira of the Av Beis Din of Zurich, Switzerland, Hagaon HaRav Shaul Breisch ZATZAL, one of the leading poskim in Europe as well as in Switzerland. He was 86.
Rav Breisch was not well the past few months, and his condition turned critical last week He was Niftar moments before Shkiya on Friday afternoon.
Hundreds recited Tehillim by his Aron all Shabbos.
The Levaya will be held in Zurich on Sunday morning at 9:00 at Bais Medrash Agudas Achim. The Niftar will then fly to Eretz Yisroel where a Levay will be held in Bnei Brak, Yerushalayim, and the Kevura in Har Menuchos.

Hopefully, with better grammarians in attendance, the niftar ‘will be flown’ dortan.
In respect to other choshuve Rabbonim YBLC”H of Zurich it is important to correct that Rav Breish ZT”L was the Rov of Kehillas Agudas Achim in Zurich, a position he took over about 50 years ago from his father the Chelkas Yakov ZT”L.
However there is no such things as “Av Beis Din of Zurich” as the Ashkenaz Kehillah Adass Yeshurun (IRGZ) has it’s own Rov and Beis Din.
May we only hear Besurois Toivos.
