A Jewish man driving a van walked away uninjured following a major crash just outside of Monsey, Thursday morning.

It happened on the NY State Thruway (southbound) near Exit 14B at around 8:30AM. Numerous Fire Departments, EMS, as well as Rockland Hatzolah were all dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters worked for some time to extricate victim from the van which appeared to have rear ended a tractor trailer.

Traffic was backed up for miles.
