Another prominent name being linked to the ongoing investigation against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is chareidi philanthropist Moshe Reich, who is alleged to have bribed Olmert when he served as a cabinet minister under Ariel Sharon, resulting in Olmert taking steps to provide employment opportunities for residents of Kiryat Sefer (Modi’in Illit), a move that also provided handsome profits for Reich.
According to allegations, during his tenure as Minister of Trade & Industry, 2003-2005, Olmert accepted NIS hundreds of thousands from Reich in exchange for promoting Reich’s agenda to assist the chareidi population. Former Shas Party kingpin Rav Aryeh Deri, who is known to be a close associate of Olmert, reportedly made the connection between Reich and Olmert.
As a result of his ‘cooperation’, Olmert established agencies to promote employment among chareidi women in Kiryat Sefer and Elad, using an agency operated by Reich to accomplish this goal.
Reich is known to be a close associate of Deri and his name has come up in the past in investigations against Deri. Deri eventually was found guilty and sent to prison as a result of various fraud/bribery investigations against him. He has served his term and since his release, has not re-entered the political arena but has opted to remain in the private sector.

How could YWN put unverified rechilus on their website (about a frum yid, nonetheless)?
They’re over on lefnei iver AND Lo telech rachil!
Is this not loshon-hora?
While we are on the topic of loshon hara, why is it OK to write about the unconfirmed accusations against Olmert? Right, he is not frum and we don’t agree with his politics so lashon hara is OK.
1) It is loshon tov as far as Mr Reich is concerned. Hundreds of yungerleit have been able to sit and learn whilst their wives work in a female chareidi enviroment due to his efforts. If he earned on it too, good for him!!
2) As far as bribing Olmert, well chareidi leaders over the almost 2000 years of golus have bribed officials to help their jewish brethren in all spheres. We may not have survived in Europe over hundreds of years if not for the efforts of yidden like Rabbi Yoselman of Rosheim etc. What Rabbi Weissmandel attempted to do to save yidden from the nazis with bribes is also called loshon hora in your warped opinions #2 and #3 ????
Please remember people that helping yidden is a mitzva even if you gain from it too
