Toddler Moderately Injured In Uman After Falling Off Bicycle

Near the gravesite of Reb Nachman in Uman, a 2-year-old fell off of his bimba (toy tricycle) on Tuesday and suffered serious injuries leaving him in moderate condition.

An emergency call was placed to United Hatzalah’s International Dispatch and Command Center regarding the injury and the volunteers as well as an ambulance team from Uman were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Volunteer EMTs Aharon Ben Harush and Benzion Krahon who arrived first at the scene reported: “We treated the young boy and stabilized him at the scene. He was suffering from a serious head injury and was confused as to his surroundings. He also sustained injuries to his limbs and upper body. We then assisted the United Hatzalah ambulance team that arrived to load and transport the patient to the local hospital. A number of us stayed at the hospital to help the boy communicate and watch over him and assist his family as the boy received treatment. ”

Ben Harush added: “This isn’t a simple injury for this boy. Our team from United Hatzalah will be here to assist him and his family with translation and providing additional support in terms of logistics and medical care as well as interacting more easily with the local hospital staff for as long as they need.”

A name for tehillim was unavailable.

  1. Tehillim are not needed because “Our team from United Hatzalah will be here to assist him and his family”. No further assistance needed if out team are there.

  2. Avreimi, what gave you that idea?
Yeshiva World News only said that a name for tehillim was “unavailable”. We don’t know why, but there may be a good reason for that.
Maybe the boy has a very unusual name, and his family doesn’t want his situation to become public knowlege.
Or maybe there’s some other valid reason.
    Who knows?
