New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said he’s disappointed to have not made the September Democratic debate and if he does not qualify for the October debate it is time for him to re-evaluate his presidential run.
At a press conference at NYPD Headquarters DeBlasio made the following remarks to a reporter:
“I wanted to get into the September debates, that wasn’t possible,” de Blasio said an at unrelated press conference at police headquarters on Wednesday. “The logical thing to say is…I’m going to go and try to get into the October debates and if I can then I think that’s a good reason to keep going forward and if I can’t I think it’s really tough to conceive of continuing.”
Maybe DeBlasio can get back to running NYC instead.
Just yesterday, YWN reported that DeBlasio spent just seven hours working at City Hall in the month of May.

Maybe you use proper grammar? ‘he start’
better if he doesn’t go back to city hall, since he is corrupt, lazy and incompetent.
“go back to work again”…..??? That implies he was “working” prior to his ego-driven presidential bid.
New York City is better off if he’d stay out of the city. He makes Dinkins look like a hard-working genius.
Don’t do us any favors. Stay away from New York.
What is he going to do when comes back? Think of some more wacky ideas and oppressive laws?
It’s very unlikely that he will be thinking about how to make life easier for Joe Schmoe.
The Mayor’s only chance of getting the nomination is if all the other candidates drop out and no one else steps in to run. He never had a chance and probably just wants nationwide publicity for a book deal after his term is up.
And you New Yorkers voted for him TWICE!
