(Locations) Sharpton Plans on Shutting NYC Down Today


sharpt1.jpgA series of protests and civil disobedience actions are planned throughout NYC Wednesday in response to the acquittals of three New York City undercover detectives in the killing of an unarmed groom on his wedding day.

The protests over the Sean Bell verdict are planned for 3:00PM EST at six locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

The NYPD is prepared to arrest anyone blocking traffic or snarl the evening commute, and Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the city will watch out for everyone’s rights.

“Everybody can rest assured we will enforce the law, and we will do everything we can to make sure we don’t violate anybody’s rights, rights to express themselves, but anybody who doesn’t want to protest, they have rights too,” he said.

  1. It seems that too many people have nothing constructive to do butjust to make things worse instead of attempting to improve conditions.

  2. I think that it would be a great form of protest for the esteemed Reverand(?) Sharpton (known for his ahava for Am Yisroel)to lie down in front of a speeding subway train. What better way to promote civil disobedience and demonstarte his unique brand of love and concern for mankind? And let him go staight to gehenim and organize protests there!

  3. I think that Mayor Bloomberg would save the city a lot of effort and money if he just told everyone to run over those sitting in the street.

  4. Why do you have to publicize the activities of this meshuganer rabble rouser? This is what he wants. I don’t think that YW should carry all this junk just to have “news” to report.
