These reckless donut eaters just proved once again that tickets have NOTHING TO DO WITH SAFETY! It has always been about “gotcha” revenue. Even if it means killing someone along the way, GET THAT TICKET! Vision Zero was created to steal more money from the gullible taxpayers in order to fill City coffers. Now of course, nothing will happen to these donut eaters. They are above the law. They are better than us. We must always respect everything they say or do.
And then these same donut eaters are shocked that people throw water at them.
Ah yes, the semi unmarked patrol car with regular license plates, that start with GSR,they are always on the hunt for moving violations, every precinct has one like that.Beware of them when you see them ,they love to stop people.
What else is new! They’re on the phone all the time and with impunity! They do not seat belt and they park illegally at the precinct house as though they are above the law! The laws are only for you and me! They constantly pass red lights and for no reason other than who is going to challenge them! The CPR on the police cars should be imprinted inside their squad cars for them to see. For us it is not a show of Courtesy, Respect nor Professionalism.
A common problem with some NYC Police is that they enforce the law, but do not necessarily know the law, and think that they ARE the law.
Note that I said SOME. I am not implying a condemnation of all police. In many cases they are performing a very necessary though dangerous job, yet they are un-liked by many. Sometimes that is by people that just want to be free to violate some law in some degree. Other times it may be because of incidents like this article, caused by a few bad cops.
I can’t breathe.
We are only concerned about the environment (Styrofoam cups etc) not the children.
Yaapchik,
I know what you mean!
Yesterday I saw a police officer stop at a red light and then just continued driving even without putting on their siren
huju did you just commit a crime and resist arrest?
