May 2019 has been named the first National Stop the Bleed month ever.
The goal is to teach & train as many people, in the event of any type of major incident, as in most cases the bystanders ARE the first people on-scene.
This, first of many future community emergency preparedness classes, was organized and sponsored by Dr Gershon Fink in memory of Lori Kaye HYD who was tragically killed.
City of Miami as well as City of Miami Beach participated, sending officials from their Emergency Management .
Representatives from local shuls & schools, including Beth Israel, Bais Menachem, Temple Moses, JLC, Hebrew Academy, Scheck Hillel community school, Lubavitch Educational Center, Mechina of South Florida.
