An NYPD Officer from the “Mounted Division” was thrown off his horse in Queens on Tuesday.
Sources tell YWN that the bizarre incident occurred on Queens Boulevard near 78 Avenue.
In the attached video the viewer will see a few horses walking along on patrol, when suddenly one of them lifts itself onto its back feet, and throws the officer to the ground.
Thankfully, the officer appears to walk away without serious injuries.
There are approximately 55 horses in the NYPD’s Mounted Unit.
