A suspect was arrested for assault, Monday afternoon, thanks to the fast response by volunteers from Crown Heights Shomrim.
The incident happened in the vicinity of Empire Blvd & Bedford Avenue, when the suspect dumped a load of garbage near a Jewish-owned establishment.
The business owner questioned the man why he did that, which resulted in the suspect picking up a brick and throwing it at the Jewish victim.
Shomrim was called, who responded and immediately began watching the suspect from a safe distance until the NYPD arrived.
The man was taken into custody at Lefferts Ave and Bedford Ave.
The man was not seriously injured.
