Meghan McCain responded to President Donald Trump’s attacks on her late father, Sen. John McCain, who died last year after battling brain cancer.
On Saturday, the president accusing McCain of spreading “a fake totally discredited Dossier,” calling it a “very dark stain against John McCain.”
The president also criticized McCain for his “thumbs down” vote on the GOP proposal to repeal the Affordable Care Act in 2017.
“He had far worse ‘stains’ than this, including thumbs down on repeal and replace after years of campaigning to repeal and replace,” the president tweeted.
McCain responded: “No one will ever love you the way they loved my father…. I wish I had been given more Saturday’s with him. Maybe spend yours with your family instead of on twitter obsessing over mine?”

McCain continued her counter-attack on her TV show on Monday:
“Your life is spent on your weekends not with your family, not with your friends, but obsessing, obsessing over great men you could NEVER live up to,” she added.
The president tweeted on Sunday that McCain was “last in his class,” and accused the late senator of sharing the Steele dossier with the FBI and media before the 2016 election.
The dossier, compiled by former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele, alleged links between the Trump campaign and Russian officials. Along with other explosive allegations, it alleged that Russians held compromising information about Trump that could be used to blackmail him.
So it was indeed (just proven in court papers) “last in his class” (Annapolis) John McCain that sent the Fake Dossier to the FBI and Media hoping to have it printed BEFORE the Election. He & the Dems, working together, failed (as usual). Even the Fake News refused this garbage!

McCain did not shy away from the fact that he finished towards the bottom of his class at the U.S. Naval Academy, and once said in an interview with CBS News program “60 Minutes” he was proud of what he had accomplished.
“I celebrate what a guy who stood fifth from the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy has, has been able to do. I’m so grateful — every night when I go to sleep, I am just filled with gratitude,” he said.
Trump has been fixated on Sen. McCain over the years with criticisms of his military service, being a prisoner of war and his policy positions.
“He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured,” Trump said in 2015.
There’s something deeply troubled in @realDonaldTrump constantly trying to belittle John McCain.
Deep within, Trump must realize how far better a man John was and will always be.

One day she’ll hopefully come to grips with the fact that her father was a rotten evil bitter person. Her farshultina dad is responsible for the spread of the fake phoney dosier that has been used against our president. B’haima McCain is also soley responsible that we still have ObamaDoesntCare.
He should roast and toast in the very depths of gehenim.
Trump is clearly a very sick lowlife. Only a mentally unstable freak would go after a recently deceased man on twitter. Perhaps his “bullied” wife can teach him how to behave on twitter. Meghan McCain does a great job defending her fathers honor. Kudos to her for Trump in his place.
If the American people wanted a “great man” to be president, they could elect one. Many serious people ran for president in 2016, and the people went for Trump (and considering who 2nd place went to it does seem they were dead set against anyone with potential for greatness). The 2016 election was about a character from the “Apprentice” to someone living a life half way between “House of cards” and “West Wing”. Someone like the late Sen. John McCain was to serious and noble a character to be sufficiently entertaining to be elected president.
BooHoo Meghan. Your papa was a liberal surrendering giveaway compromising loser. You like your papa still can’t get over that while John lost the presidency to the imbecile Obama, The Donald defeated Hillary against all expectations. You wish your father was half of what Trump is.
JerseyJew- from your moniker you probably live in Lakewood. So, tell me, how welcome are those food stamps? or maybe section 8 rebates? or maybe the subsidies for your yeshivas? your whole life is built on government subsidies and you complain about Obamacare???? And next time you attack a genuine American hero-let me know when you or your minions ever served in the army?? Your comments are disgraceful and I am a shame , as a Jew, that you uttered these calumnies.
Let’s forget the rhetoric. I just want to know, is it true JMcCain spread the phoney dossier just to hurt Trump? Is it true he deliberately thumbed down repeal and replace just because it would help his enemy Trump -even though he campaigned for years for R’ and Replace?
If this is true, how can one call him a great man? IF it’s true- it’s disgusting…
There was nothing “honorable” about McCain. If he was not POW nobody would ever care about him. John McCain will be remembered as a mass murderer who cause a fire aboard the USS Forrestal that killed 100+ sailors and got away with it only because of his father who happened to be Admiral of the Pacific Fleet at the time. Nobody can erase memory of his involvement in The Keating Five corruption scandal that defrauded many people of their savings. Even at the end of his life he betrayed people of Arizona by promising them to get rid off Obamacare and then voting against abolishing it. His last disgraceful act was to peddle knowingly fraudulent dossier to FBI in order to score a personal point in his vendetta against Trump.
Trump is a vile lowlife human being, much less of a president. This filthy adulterer and coward wouldn’t give his bonespurs to defend this country. Benedict Arnold at least began as a defender of the country.
rt keeps misspelling clinton. Odd spellcheck.
The only reason Democrats and leftists suddenly discovered love and admiration for McCain (he was called a Nazi by the same crowd back in 2008) is because he stubbed his own party in the back and was always siding with Democrats.
The truth hurts.
The late John McCain was an angry petty person.
When he decided to effectively end the Obama care. He put his petty feelings for revenge against Trump ahead of the following;
1. His core Belief.
2. His Constituents.
3. His Country.
4. His Campaign promise.
5. America.
It is in style to heap praise on McCain. Especially since he kept Obama care alive.
Kellyanne’s husband said it best. Trump is mentality unstable. Even Kellyanne probably knows that but she has a job to do. The question is why people who are not being paid to defend Trump can’t see the obvious .
Fightening on twitter with a dead man. How sad and pathetic. Seriously think about that.
it is clear by now that crazykanoiy competing against rt for the nomination of the most Trump deranged individual of the year.
it appears crazykanoiy is leading rt by 10%
R’ Moshe in Golus – You should live to 120 and while I do not agree with your worldview you can rest assured that unlike Drumpf I will not attack you online acher meah vesrim.
And BTW please explain for all of us on YWN why Trump was the ONLY leading Republican who could not bring himself to condemn the racist remarks of Steve King.
