NYPD Investigates Death Threat Against Pope In Boro Park

nypd logo2.jpgA letter threatening to kill the Pope was found taped to a home in Boro Park earlier this evening, YWN has learned.

Credible sources tell YWN, that the letter [found to a home on 51st Street and 13th Avenue,] threatened to kill the Pope – who is currently visiting the US – and the blame will be placed on the Jewish community. The person who found the letter quickly contacted the NYPD who arrived along with the NYPD Intelligence Units. The letter has been removed by the detectives, and an investigation is continuing.

As YWN had previously reported (HERE) the Pope is scheduled to be visiting the Park East Synagogue – an Orthodox Shul –  this coming Friday night – which is the Friday night before Pesach.

YWN will bring you any further information regarding this troubling incident, as soon as we have any confirmed details.

  1. We are all sitting tightly on our hands eagerly anticipating the next part of this exciting drama. Please, YW, keep us posted as soon as anything breaks and do not keep us in any unnecessary anticipation.

  2. Maybe theres a connection between the fraudelent Levi guy from Lakewood & this story …who knows what he was planning to do being disguised as a Jew ???!

  3. Chas Vechalilah that such a thing would happen, but on Erev Pessach 5768, in the medinah that we Jews think we are safe, only G-d knows the real truth.
This would have been the biggest blood libel ever in history!
I sincerely hope that the Pontiff and his team reconsider their synagogue visit, not for political reasons, but even just on security grounds. We don’t need to look for trouble

Well, I SINCERELY hope that who ever is responsible for this revolting letter be dealt with accordingly.

Just imagine that a Rav Lihavdil Ben Tumah Litaharoh were to visit a place and an incident like this would be discovered….WHAT A RUCKUS WE WOULD RAISE, without any jokes!
