A Rosh Yeshiva in Lakewood is undergoing spinal surgery today, and the family is asking people for Tefillos.

Rav Shmuel Zalman Stein, Rosh Yeshivas Birkas Chaim in Lakewood, was driving to attend a wedding at Lake Terrace Hall in Lakewood a few days ago, when a vehicle jumped a red light and slammed into his car at the intersection of New Hampshire and Oak Street.

He was transported to the hospital, and requires surgery on his spine.
