Lakewood police have arrested a 19-year-old illegal immigrant, as he sifted through possessions in a parked car, the Asbury Park Press reports.
Jesus Leon Dominguez, living on Waldorf Terrace, was taken into custody after police observed him sitting in a parked car on Chateau Drive at about 9:45PM Thursday night.
After a brief confrontation, he was arrested – and during a search, the suspect was found to have 21 quarters wrapped in plastic, several small bills and a radar detector in his pockets. The items were later identified by the car owner, Lakewood PD Chief Lawson told the APP.
Officers also found a large, folding knife in Dominguez’s possession.
Dominguez was charged with burglary, theft and resisting arrest. He was placed in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $30,000 cash bail and on a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer.

i wonder if he is the ne who broke into 12 cars on negba street on Shabbos night (Tazreia). The person left he door open and many people had dead batteries by the time shabbos was over.
I wish you can publish his exact address And the name of his land lord.
It almost seems as if its more then just one person. If the economy is bad and there are people without work how are they going to pay their bills if they are not eligible for any programs? When you have a lot of people all standing around its only likely they will talk to each other and pass on the info how easy it is to rob a house or car in Lakewood. They certainly dont want to get caught or else they will be deported. If we just get organized and have the rabbanim and askanim tell the olam in shul and
yeshiva that they have an obligation to protect themselves and their neighbors by locking their doors and cars then we can prevent a tragic situation c”s. Its at least important as any appeal or tzdakah
Plobably another “wondeful” Tennant of a jewish Land Lord Thanks again
How much more work is it to break in and cause more damage when locked?
If a door is closed it is just as illegal to break in by opening the door than to first smash a window (leaving little cubes of glass to cut childrens’ finger in the seats for decades) or break a lock, or bend a hinge (so that there will be air leak noise for decades).
