Three teenagers have been charged with third-degree burglary, a felony, in connection with a break-in and damage done earlier this week at the Norwich Jewish Center, 70-76 Broad Street.
Norwich police said the teens, whose names have not been released, were all 13 and 14 years-old. The charges fit the criteria under the Hate Crimes Act of 2000. All three were issued Family Court appearance tickets and released to their parents. Norwich police were assisted by the FBI and state police in their investigation.
The damage to the synagogue was estimated at tens of thousands of dollars.

if the parents, of these young hoodlums, have to fork over these tens of thousands of damages to the synagogues it will help a lot to deter this kind of vandalism in the future.
The parents should be made to pay. This hatred begins at home. This will teach them a lesson. And THEN they should sit in juvenile detention.
