Stevenson University in Owings Mills announced it is creating a special two-year program in the medical field for students at Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Pikesville.
The program will allow Ner Israel students to get a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies with a pre-med focus and a minor in medical humanities, while at the same time getting a bachelor’s degree in Talmudic studies at Ner Israel, according to a press release Wednesday.
The program will pave the way for those interested in graduate education in medicine and related health fields.
Stevenson University President Elliot Hirshman and Rabbi Sheftel Neuberger, President of Ner Israel Rabbinical College, signed the agreement Wednesday.

Great idea and hope it is successful but has anyone ever heard of “Stevenson University”??
Stevenson is located in Baltimore County near Ner’s campus. It is a small private college better known for practical job oriented programs than for esoteric scholarship. How well its graduates do in getting into medical schools is subject to skepticism.
