The NYPD is asking the public’s assistance identifying and locating the male depicted in the attached surveillance video and photos wanted for questioning in connection to an assault that occurred in Brooklyn – within the confines of the 61 Precinct.
Police tell YWN that on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at approximately 4:30PM, a 13-year-old female was walking on Quentin Road near Stuart Street (just off Nostrand Ave), when an unidentified male grabbed her by the neck then slapped her in the face causing pain and swelling. There were no words exchanged prior to the assault. The male fled in an unknown direction. EMS responded to the scene and rendered aid to the female.
The NYPD and Flatbush Shomrim were called and responded immediately. Shomrim volunteers canvassed the area along with police, but were unsuccessful in finding the suspect.
The person wanted for questioning is described as a male Asian, approximately 40-years old, 5’5″ tall with a slim build and facial scars. He was last seen wearing a waist length beige jacket, grey jeans, and grey sneakers.
The victim and male individual are not known to each other.
The NYPD told YWN that they are grateful to Flatbush Shomrim for their invaluable assistance in helping them secure video footage of this assault.
