NYPD Reports 6 Straight Days Without A Murder in NYC; 2018 On Track For Fewer Homicides Than 2017

The New York City Police Department is reported no murders for 6consecutive days to close out the year.

New York City is on track to have fewer than 300 homicides this year and finish with less than the year before: 283 people were killed in 2018 compared to 286 in 2017.

To put these numbers in perspective, the city of Baltimore, with a population of 600,000, has had more murders this year than New York, with a population of 8.5 million.

The NYPD attributes their success partially to a neighborhood policing model, which it describes as “improved communication and collaboration between local police officers and community residents.”

They also credit new technology, such as security cameras placed all over the city.

  1. And because Baltimore cops don’t want to work because of all the riots they had a while ago and got no support from the politicians. Chief among them the worst and dumbest president in history mr Hussein Obama
