The Rosh Yeshiva of Chaim Berlin, HaRav Aharon Schecter has released a letter to the parent body regarding the need to vaccinate.
Rav Schechter is also a senior member of the Moeztes of Agudath Israel of America.
The letter posted below reads as follows:
We’ve been advised by our doctors that any person without up to date vaccinations should refrain from being in the Yeshiva community.
The only exception is for someone who cannot be vaccinated due to a true medical reason.
Someone having a “Shita” against being vaccinated is not an exception and need to comply with the above rule.
The letter is signed by Rav Aharon Shechter.

Thanks!
Finally!
That Moetzes room must be getting a bit uncomfortable.
Why si this the first time YW posts Reb Ahron shlita’s letters. What about his letters about giyus?

As far as I can tell (someone correct me if I am wrong), the HaRav Aharon Schecter being discussed in the article is in the United States, and the measles outbreak is in his vicinity, and he is talking about those in his jurisdiction. But giyus is in a different country under someone else’s jurisdiction.
Please answer why Bochrim- young adults, and teenagers are getting measles.
It would be good if someone close to Rav Kanievsky, Shlita, could ask him to please look into the Torah to find out for which sin measles is so wide-spread now among Klal Yisroel. I’m not talking about anti-vaccinating.
leahleh. Vaccines are only 90% effective. Therefore, anyone vaccinated can still get measles but considerably milder. Nevertheless, the disease spreads eventually getting to someone who can’t fight it and dies as we’ve seen here in E”Y
Why is the Rosh Yeshiva only issuing this statement now? And why is the first paragraph of his statement in quotes?
