Three NYPD Officers were hospitalized after they were involved in a car crash on Wednesday night.
The accident happened just after 8:00PM at the intersection of Avenue P and East 27 Street in the Midwood (Flatbush) section of Brooklyn.
Flatbush Hatzolah was on the scene in seconds, and had three ambulances treating the officers before EMS arrived.
All three officers were transported to Lutheran Trauma Center, 2 via Hatzolah, and 1 via FDNY EMS. One officer reportedly struck the windshield and suffered a minor head injury. The other two were in stable condition.
One person from the other vehicle involved was transported as well for observation.
The cause of the crash was under investigation, but residents tell YWN that there are many accidents at this corner.

“One officer reportedly struck the windshield”
Why wasn’t he wearing a seatbelt? Are our donut eaters above the law? They can give a ticket to lowly taxpayers but they themselves don’t have to play by the rules?
@Not getting involved – Moderators Response: They were actually following the law. Operators of emergency vehicles do not need to wear seat belts according to NYS vehicle and traffic law.
