An infant was severely burned by hot water in Kiryas Joel on Sunday.

Hatzolah responded to the scene on Lemberg Court, and found a 4-week-old girl, with serious burns.

Hatzolah paramedics requested that a chopper airlift the infant to a trauma center.

According to information released by the NY State Police, the child sustained second and third degree burns to her body.

The infant was taken to to Westchester Medical Center via helicopter and is listed in stable condition.

Members of The NY State Police Bureau of Criminal (BCI) SP Monroe are investigating.
