A groundskeeper at the Hebrew Rest Cemetery in Orange Texas found multiple headstones tipped over and ripped from their bases on Monday morning.
Police were immediately notified and have launched an investigation.
Orange Police are investigating it as criminal mischief but say it’s too early to comment.
Orange Mayor Larry Spears Jr. told KFDM he’s saddened by the vandalism and expressed his sympathies to the families. He promised quick action in finding the vandals, saying bigotry and hate will not be tolerated.
