At least 10 girls were injured – one seriously – in a Friday morning crash in New Jersey.
Sources tell YWN that a van full of girls were on their daily commute from Monsey to Machon Ora High School in Passaic, NJ, when the van lost control on the Garden State Parkway.
Video on social media showed the van in the center media that had crashed into a tree.
Rockland Hatzolah responded with five ambulance along with local emergency personnel.
A total of twelve girls were transported to Hackensack and Nyack Hospitals.
One girl is undergoing surgery and has serious injuries including a skull fracture. Please say tehillim for Tzipporah Rochel bas Chaya Devorah.

We drove past the accident this morning probably 2 or 3 minutes after it happened…….please everyone, be VERY careful when driving, especially on the GSP. Traffic was likely moving at the speed limit and then all of a sudden it came to a dead stop and the van driver must have swerved to avoid causing a chain reaction….PLEASE leave plenty of space between you and the car in front of you, at least ONE car length for every 10 mph you are traveling. We should hear only besoros tovos….
Refuah shelemah. Who ever is able to light shabbos candles 10 minutes early in her zechus, please try to do so
I read on Matzav.com that a car hit the van. And yes.. people do have to drive with space between the cars. May Tzipporah Rochel bas Chaya Devorah have a complete Refuah Sheleima.
sorry besafe, you have your facts backwards, there was no slow downed traffic that he had to avoid, the accident caused the slow down traffic, as per the girls in the van he was cut off by another car and forced off the road, but i agree, people should drive safely

besafe I hope you didn’t write that comment while you were driving
My daughter attends this school, and the girl that underwent surgery is in her class. I received the email shown above before it was posted here. Shocked and stunned. May all of the girls have a refuah shleimah, and may we only hear of simchas.
May hashem help all to have a full and speedy recovery
Parents should be aware Children should be transported to school with school buses. Which are fully insured. Transporting from ny to nj requires to be apprived by (fmcsa)federal motor carrier safety administration and needs to be 5 million insurance and drivers need to be state certified which is 19 a qualified. Buses need to be DOT inspected twice a year. And when using buses make sure they have insurance for hire and not from private yeshivos who give you cheap pricing and are not for hire. That when chas vasholom something like this happens there is no insurance coverage!
Hashem protects fools-too many people rely on that, WEAR SEATBELTS
