Lightning struck the Empire State Building and One World Trade Center at the SAME TIME, during a fierce round of storms that swept through New Jersey and New York late Tuesday night.
The light show was captured as ABC7’s chief meteorologist began his live weather report on the 11 p.m. broadcast.
Dual lightning strikes hit the simultaneously as Lee Goldberg began his update on the stormy weather. Lightning hit the Empire State Building just as he pointed to the skyscraper, which was illuminated in blue light Tuesday.
