Ocean County and New Jersey State firefighters are currently burning approximately 3000 acres – one section at a time – in the area of Lake Shenandoah Park in the township of Lakewood, NJ. The reason for this fire is to avoid a potential, out-of-control, forest fire – which can occur in the summer months. Lakewood residents should not be concerned by the heavy smoke in the area, the multiple news choppers, and emergency vehicles passing through the area. The fire is scheduled to be burning the remainder of the day.
[NOTE: The area being burned, is surrounded by Cedar Bridge, New Hampshire, Route 88, and Clover.]

Makes you wonder if another development is going up there in the area! What audacity, there are elderly people and children in the area that should have been given advance notice!
