New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Cynthia Nixon will soon face off in their only scheduled debate before New York holds its Democratic primary next month.
The two-term incumbent and the Nixon will face off Wednesday at Hofstra University.
Nixon is expected to accuse Cuomo of doing too little to address political corruption, income inequality or New York City’s aging subways, while Cuomo touts his experience and liberal accomplishments like a higher minimum wage and same-gender marriage.
Cuomo leads in polls and fundraising.
The winner of the Sept. 13 primary faces Republican Marc Molinaro, independent candidate Stephanie Miner and Green Party candidate Howie Hawkins in the November election.
