A pharmaceutical company is voluntarily recalling dozens of children’s medications due to possible microbial contamination.
King Bio said Wednesday it was recalling 32 products, including medications to treat teething, bed wetting prevention, cough, rashes, colic and more. The medication was distributed nationwide between August 2017 – July 2018.
Use of products with microbial contamination could “potentially result in increased infections that may require medical intervention and could result in infections that could be life-threatening to certain individuals,” the FDA said.
However, King Bio has not received reports of injury or illness.
The list of medicines includes 13 under the brand name SafeCare RX, which is only used by medical professionals.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled items should stop using them and contact King Bio at [email protected] or call King Bio at 866-298-2740.
