The FDNY was on the scene at a working structure fire in Boro Park, at 1261 50th Street, between 12th Avenue and 13th Avenue.
The fire broke out just before 10:00AM on the second floor of a private home.
One elderly victim was rescued from the home by FDNY and was suffering from smoke inhalation. Sources tell YWN that the victim had a pre-existing medical condition making it difficult for him to exit the home.
Boro Park Hatzolah was on the scene, and was transporting the injured victim to Maimonides Hospital.
