The Times Herald Record reports:

Catskill Regional Medical Center has been granted conditional accreditation by The Joint Commission, according to Catskill Regional CEO Steve Ruwoldt.

The Joint Commission, which evaluates and certifies more than 15,000 American health organizations, will monitor the hospital over the next few months to make sure it has corrected deficiencies the Commission found during a surprise visit in late 2007 – reported HERE on YWN.

Deficiencies included a doctor who operated on one side of a hip writing a report saying he worked on the other side, and other issues.
