Bush To Visit NYC Friday Morning: Gridlock Alert


bush af1.jpgPresident Bush will be in Manhattan Friday morning to make a speech to the Economic Club Of New York. His speech is intended to send a message that better times are coming.

The Bush administration is urging consumers to have confidence in the long-term future of the economy. The president is expected to say that the benefits of the tax relief and economic stimulus package should be felt soon, and the Federal Reserve is taking steps to encourage economic growth.

The Presidential visit to New York means several streets will be closed. Beginning at 9:15AM 6th Ave. will be closed from 53rd St. to 55th St. There will also be random closings throughout the day on Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues from 72nd St. to 86th St.
