The Association of Kashrus Organizations (AKO) is comprised of a broad array of kosher certifying agencies across the United States. Rabbi Mordechai Biser, Special Counsel for Agudath Israel of America, addressed the annual conference on the legal issues involved in providing or withholding kosher certification for food served at events that do not conform to halachic standards.

AKO members fear tranceparency, so they would not allow the kosher consumers advocate attend their conference.
This is to their credit, as there are members that are fooling the public as to the truth in kashrus. They fear the publics wrath.
