A woman was airlifted to a Trauma Center following a serious crash in Woodridge on Thursday afternoon.
Catskills Hatzolah was on the scene just after 1:00PM, after receiving multiple calls reporting a serious crash at the intersection of East Pond Road (Lakehouse Road) and Dairyland Road – in front of the Belzer Camp.
One victim was trapped in the vehicle, and was successfully extricated following a lengthy operation by the Woodridge and Woodbourne Fire Departments.
One victim suffered serious chest trauma, and was taken by Catskills Hatzolah Paramedics to the landing zone at nearby Kreiger Park, where the victim was flown to Westchester Trauma Center in Valhalla.
Two additional victims were transported by ground to Catskills Regional Medical Center in Harris, one via Hatzolah, and one via MobileMedics.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
