A Republican candidate for the North Carolina state Senate is comparing Democrats to Nazis, roaches and a sitcom character.
The News & Observer of Raleigh reports former Durham County sheriff’s deputy Rickey Padgett is challenging incumbent Democrat Mike Woodard.
On Twitter, Padgett’s posted in January an image depicting U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer in Nazi uniforms with the words “Chuck’s SS anti Trump unit.”
State Democratic Party spokesman Robert Howard called Padgett anti-Semitic and urged the GOP to distance itself from Padgett.
A February 2017 tweet features Sen. Elizabeth Warren labeled as a cartoon roach which says “Come on Pelosi and you Democrat cock roaches, Trump is on the way!”
Padgett also compared U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters to “Aunt Esther,” the foil to Redd Foxx’s character on “Sanford & Son.”

What a great guy, a disgrace. Interesting to note that nazis and white supremacists who are running for office do so as republicans.
At last count the republican party has at least 9 self described neoNazi white supremacists running for office. I suggest they clean their own house before casting aspersions.

Coffee addict, please support your posit. I’m really curious as to what democratic candidates have identified as neoNazis/white supremacists while running for office. Frankly I’m always surprised when a Jew expresses indifference (So?) to Nazis running for public office in the US.
Name even one neo-nazi or white supremacist candidate who has ANY CONNECTION to the Republican Party, let alone one who has been endorsed by them. There aren’t any. The GOP is not responsible if some nazi calls himself a Republican, or runs in a Republican primary; there is nothing it can do to stop him. The Democratic Party, however, openly endorses and supports paleo-nazis like Keith Ellison and Ilhan Omar
Oh, and of course the KKK, when it existed, was the military wing of the Democratic Party. Also the Phelps family are Democrats, and the Lyndon LaRouche cult are Democrats.
