(Click on image) “Hatzoloh – Emergency – Ambulance – Response – Team”
A group of Hatzoloh Paramedics and EMT’s from Flatbush, Queens, Washington Heights and Lakewood have just arrived in Eretz Yisroel to offer Chizuk, support and encouragement to the residents of Sderot and to the country at large.
Meetings and gatherings have been set up with Hatzoloh, Magen David Adom, and army personnel. These veteran Hatzoloh members are part of a larger Hatzoloh team that has trained with and is ready to deploy to Israel in a time of war R”L if necessary on moments notice.
The group is scheduled to meet with Roshei Yeshivos, Rabbonim and students of the Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva – the site of last weeks massacre of 8 Kedoshim HYD. Additionally, plans are in place to visit the injured still healing in area hospitals.
Group participants told YWN that “our message and mission is one of Chizuk and strength to the Yeshiva, Talmidim and Israeli Yidden still in shock over the tragic shooting. Jews from all walks of life stand with you!”
Plans are for the group to head to Sderot on Friday morning for an inspiring Shabbos of Chizuk with the local residents.
Our goal “is to inspire, encourage and lift the spirits of the heroic Yidden in the beleaguered border town.”
The group will I”H be updating the tens of thousands of YWN readers with first-hand updates, and photos from the ‘front-lines’.
More details and pictures of this amazing Kiddush Hashem will I”H be posted on YWN in the next few days.
NOTE: Each Hatzolah member paid their own tickets – no funds from Hatzolah were used on this trip!
Yeshivaworld salutes these dedicated Hatzolah members who are taking part in this tremendous Kiddush Hashem. We wish them much Hatzlacha, and a safe return!

Do the Hatzolah representatives pay for their own plane ticket & accomodations, or is this given to them from the Hatzola pot?
Hey mom18 – READ the whole article! It clearly says they paid for it themselves. And even if they hadn’t, does it matter? This is such a special and important thing to do. Remember, they are all volunteers and have left their jobs (prob. without pay) and their families to go. A tremendoud Kiddish Hashem!
Who cares where the money comes from. These people are risking thier lives to comfort our brothers in eretz yisrael.
WHAT ARE NAMES OF THE GROUP ?
They each paid for their own trip.
