He will introduce humanity, understanding, and a collegial quality to the Executive and Legislative branches. David is a team player who intrinsically respects differences and works on creating a cohesive spirit. The essence of David Paterson is that he is an absolute mensch (decent individual). He is truly a class act, with a sophisticated appreciation of what it takes to work harmoniously with disparate groups.
Ive known David for almost 20 years. He joined the Black-Jewish Alliance I inaugurated two months ago, but we have been working together informally on Black-Jewish relations for more than 10 years. It will be an honor and a privilege to work with our new governor for the benefit of New Yorkers throughout the state.
