London Police have arrested a woman accused of running after Jewish children with a knife and allegedly shouting “I want to kill all you Jews”.
Shomrim alerted Metropolitan Police to the incident which took place on Craven Park Road in the Stamford Hill neighborhood, home to Europe’s largest Charedi community.
The group of approximately 15 children, aged between 8 and 15-years-old, were walking home from Shul following Maariv.
Photos show a kitchen knife with a 10-inch blade (approx.) lying on the ground.
A police spokesperson said officers responded to “reports of a woman in possession of a knife behaving erratically” at 9:04 PM on Sunday night.
“Police attended and the woman, aged 47, was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence.
“At this time, the female remains in custody at an east London police station. She is expected to undergo a mental health assessment in due course.”
The incident is not terror related, police added.
