Shocking video shows a crazed driver slam into multiple vehicles and nearly strike several NYPD cops as he spins in circles on a Manhattan street — before leading officers on a chase into the Bronx.
The New York Post reported the incident began at around 4:00AM in the Inwood Hill Park neighborhood at the northwestern tip of Manhattan, when police pulled over a man in a blue Toyota Sienna minivan who appeared to be driving erratically.
Additional officers were called after the driver, 27-year-old George Lopez, refused to get out of the car or open his window.
“Turn off the car!” an police can be heard repeatedly yelling at Lopez.
Seconds later, he revved his engine and spun his vehicle in backwards circles – striking multiple cars and nearly hitting the officers before speeding away – leaving his mangled front bumper and a headlight behind.
Lopez fled northbound in the southbound lane of the Henry Hudson Parkway, with police not far behind. The chase continued into the Bronx, where he struck a 2016 Toyota Rav4 head-on while trying to exit onto the Mosholu Parkway, and came to a stop.
Lopez and the driver of the Rav-4 were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with neck and back injuries.
Three police officers were taken to New York Presbyterian hospital and released after being treated for minor injuries which included a bruised knee, a bruised hand and a sprained wrist.
Lopez was arrested just before 5 a.m. and was charged with reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of a crime, reckless driving, driving while impaired by drugs and driving without a license, police said.
That sienna tonight at the 34th police precinct mangled to bits and pieces; rubber shredded off its wheels, no bumper, no doors. Lopez is still in the hospital in custody. The other driver suffered only minor injuries. 3 officers also suffered minor injuries. pic.twitter.com/GlvZeNeDvj

Wow! Serious madman!
I don’t get it. When you have an Orthodox jew who has emotional challenges and you pepper spray him in the face, agitating him, then 4 NYPD officers surround him and gun him down execution style, in the heart of Boro Park when he poses no serious threat to them. Here, you have a person in the act of committing vehicular manslaughter, and the dummies do NOTHING! Not a single shot is fired. What a bunch of incompetent coward overweight donut eaters.
So the lesson is, Jewish blood is cheap.
We’ve been discussing gun control I think it’s time to work on the dangerous weapon called the CAR. We will call it vehicle control!! Any one that takes drugs or wild unstable license revoked and jailed if found in a vehicle!!!
Not Getting Involved: Granted, I am also wonderign why they did shoot the driver. My guess is because there were to many bystanders and because of the speed at which he was moving, there would have been a high chance of hitting someone who shouldn’t have been hit.
But really? You are comparing the NYPD of 1999 to the NYPD of 2018?
